Made in the USA – Talltique Private Label

I’m thrilled to be back with another edition of my new Made In… Series. This time I am chatting with Helen Pappas, the owner of the Bethesda, MD based tall brand Talltique, about her made-in-the-USA Private Label items. If you’ve been following me for any length of time, you’ve undoubtedly seen me express my love for my Talltique faux leather bomber jacket  that I bought awhile back. Helen kindly gifted me a Tall Crinkle Maxi Skirt from the Private Label to try, and I am so pleased with it! First, let me start by saying that I had to take this 49″ […]

Tall Bomber Jacket – Out and About

Sometimes, I buy an item and am so caught up with “new buyer’s giddiness” that I don’t see any of its faults. Then, once the glitz and glam of the newness wears off, I realize that the item is not as good as I first thought it was. That’s certainly NOT the case with my tall bomber jacket from Talltique. I’ve had this super fun faux leather jacket a little over a year and am still very much head over heels for it. I still marvel at how long the sleeves are, love the fit and am also thrilled with how soft and easy to […]

Barcelona! Tall Blogger Meet-Up and Tall Travel Style

It’s official! Barcelona is my new favorite European city! The weather, friendly people, laid back vibe, beautiful and interesting architecture, amazing food and easy access to the beach all make me want to pack up and move there. It was super fun taking a break from my winter garb and putting together springy outfits for the 50-70F/10-21C weather. Ditching the cold, dreary winter weather for bright blue skies, plentiful sunshine and warm temps was just what I needed to allay my winter doldrums. Plus, I was able to arrange another tall blogger meet-up! Read on to get all the details! Activity: […]

Talltique Layering Tee – 4 Ways

A few years ago, I probably wouldn’t have given a layering tee much thought or attention in the outfit creation department. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned from my Project Remix experiment, it’s to analyze all of the different possible ways an item of clothing can be worn. I love when fellow 6’2er Adrienne from The Rich Life on a Budget does posts on different looks she has created from one simple “base” outfit. Inspired, I decided to give it a try using my trusty J.Crew black jeans, Aquatalia waterproof boots and new Talltique layering tee. I’ve had this […]

Tall Specialty Shop Challenge

Recap of my 2015 Tall Specialty Shop Challenge

2015 has come and gone which means my Tall Specialty Shop Challenge is now complete! Just to refresh your memory, this challenge involved only buying from companies that exclusively sell tall women’s clothing from February-Decemebr 2015.  My purpose was to see if all of my fashion needs could be met by tall speciality retailers, to discover new tall shops and also to introduce these fabulous “tallpreneurs” to my readers. In case you’re curious about such things, none of the items featured in this shopping challenge were gifted to me – I bought all of them with my own pennies. While I do occasionally receive and review gifts from […]

Talltique Review

Talltique Review! My Black Friday Steals

2015 may be winding down but I still have some Tall Speciality Shop Challenge purchases to show you including another Talltique review. My very first purchase in this shopping challenge was my beloved faux leather bomber jacket from Talltique, so it seemed fitting that some of my last purchases in the challenge also be from Talltique. After taking a chance and falling in love with my ruana wrap this fall, I decided to order a similar piece from Talltique – a burnt orange drapey sweater vest. Similar to my ruana, I’m still figuring out how I want to style this […]

Tall Travel Style: Chateau Gawking in my Tallwater Jeans

A couple of weekends ago, we trekked over to the magical Loire Valley of France for some chateau gawking and general meanderings through the French countryside.  I was eager to take my new Tallwater Jeans for a test drive and ended up wearing them two different ways.  While I adore the jeans, I ended up kinda sorta loathing one of my outfits and loving the other. Overall, my Tallwater Jeans held up great for my excursions, were super comfortable and made me remember why it’s sometimes nice to shed my skinnies for a pair of bootcuts every now and again. […]

Talltique Bomber Jacket – Tall Fashion at its Best!

I’ve been LONGING for two things lately: 1) a fabulous tall leather bomber jacket 2) the sun/warmer weather My first wish was fulfilled a couple of weeks ago when Talltique’s beautiful faux leather bomber jacket arrived in my mailbox.  The second wish was fulfilled this weekend when Mr. Sun and his cousin Bright Blue Skies both made a rare appearance during our little trip to Strasbourg, France.  Even though temps were in the 40s, I excitedly threw on my new Talltique bomber jacket and was in HEAVEN to not be wearing my winter coat for the day. This is the […]
