Perfect travel tote

Lo & Sons OG Review – The Best Travel Tote!

It’s no secret that I love to travel.  Two years ago, I was planning for a week long visit to Asia and I began scouring the internet for the perfect travel tote with the hopes that I could get away with only taking carry-on luggage.  After hours of research, I ordered the Lo & Sons O.G. tote bag.  I am happy to say that between this bag and a roller suitcase, I have avoided checking any bags on several flights thus saving me tons of time and money.  After two years of carting this bag around 3 continents and numerous countries, […]

Tall Travel Style: Tuscan Countryside (and Cinque Terre for a few hours)

Ahhhh…beautiful Tuscany! Your cheery sunflower fields, majestic cypress trees and breathtaking countryside knocked my socks off (or I guess I should say knocked my sandals 0ff since nobody wears socks in July in Italy).  Five years ago, we visited Florence, Venice and Rome as part of a two week Europe trip. While we loved seeing the bigger cities, we were hankering to explore the countryside and we were certainly granted our wish on this trip! Read on for a peek at my tall travel style for this trip and also some photos of our shenanigans. Day 1: A Drive Along the Coast and Arrival […]

Tall Travel Style – Adventures in Piedmont Italy

It’s been about a month since our summer road trip through Italy and I’m still dreaming of all the wine, the beautiful countryside and the amazing pasta.  One thing I’m not dreaming about? The miserable heat! Here’s what I realized about gallivanting in 95-99 degree weather – no matter what you wear, you will drenched in sweat glistening within 5 seconds of walking outside.  It’s unlikely you’ll find any relief while you’re out and about since there’s virtually no AC in any public places.   This is why you must eat lots and lots of gelato! On the first leg of our trip, we […]

Tall Travel Style: Chateau Gawking in my Tallwater Jeans

A couple of weekends ago, we trekked over to the magical Loire Valley of France for some chateau gawking and general meanderings through the French countryside.  I was eager to take my new Tallwater Jeans for a test drive and ended up wearing them two different ways.  While I adore the jeans, I ended up kinda sorta loathing one of my outfits and loving the other. Overall, my Tallwater Jeans held up great for my excursions, were super comfortable and made me remember why it’s sometimes nice to shed my skinnies for a pair of bootcuts every now and again. […]

Tall Travel Style – Visiting the Keukenhof

I always find it useful when bloggers show how they wear their clothes while out and about because it’s nice to hear about how the clothes held up throughout the day.  Was the jacket enough to fend off chilly weather? Did the cute shoes tear up your feet or were they comfortable after miles of walking? You get the idea. Along those lines, I figured it might be fun and useful to start a series about how all of my tall styles hold up when I travel.  I will definitely sneak some travel photos in this series too just for fun. My packing […]

Holiday Outfits and Eats – NYC Trip

Mr. L3 and I just returned from a splendid trip to NYC and one of the highlights was DEFINITELY the food!  Here is a little tour of my “out-to-dinner” outfits. First Night Out – Dinner at Mas Farmhouse in Greenwich Village I kept it “dressy casual” for our first night out and wore my 382 Long Sleeve Blouse in Delilah from Tall Couture (reviewed here), my Ann Taylor (non-tall) skinny pants (more info here) and my waterproof suede Aquatalia boots. I would have preferred to wear heels instead of flat boots but navigating through hoards of people on uneven streets in […]
