Tall brand Liv Tall is one of the brightest spots in the tall fashion world right now. The owner, 6’1 Angela, continues to produce high quality, on-trend items and this sweatsuit for tall women is no exception.
From the buttery soft fabric to the ample length in both the pants and jacket, I have a feeling this tall sweatsuit set will be on heavy rotation for me this fall and winter. Review of the Tall Sweatsuit Set by Liv Tall

About Liv Tall
Liv Tall is such a bright spot in the tall fashion world! It was launched by 6’1 Angela almost 2.5 years ago with a focus on ethical and sustainable small batch production in the U.S. I love that Angela creates both classic pieces AND really fun, colorful fashion forward pieces like the swimsuit wraps and bright maxi dresses. In my mind, this brand stands for quality and long lasting clothing…I have worn the 3 v-neck tees that I bought from Liv Tall incessantly for almost 2 years and they are still going strong! Sizing and Fit of the Liv Tall Sweatsuit Set
First things first…my stats. I am 6’2, 195 lbs and am wearing a size large in the pants and a medium in the jacket. I find the sizing to be true to size, especially after washing it since the set is not pre-shrunk. The wide waistband is very comfortable and does not dig into my midsection at all. As you can see in the close-up photo below, the rise on the pants is pretty substantial which makes these more of a high waisted style, at least on me.
Even though Liv Tall is a small independent tall brand that produces its items in small batches in the USA, it still offers an impressive range of sizes. This sweatsuit comes in sizes Small through XXL and is offered in a 36 AND 38 inseam. I am wearing the 36 inseam and found the length to be generous (and *gasp* almost too long…such a nice problem to have) before washing and then perfect after washing since the set is not pre-shrunk and it did shrink the slightest bit after washing.

Fabric and Special Details
The first thing I noticed when I touched this sweatsuit for the first time was how soft and luxurious the fabric felt. I seriously wish you could reach through my screen and feel it! Just to give you an idea of how good it is, I wore the sweatsuit to physical therapy this week and as soon as my physical therapist touched my sleeve, she exclaimed about how amazing the fabric felt and wanted to know all the deets about the set. She even asked to feel the inside to see how soft that was. Hah!
The fleece-lined fabric is a mix of bamboo, cotton and spandex and is truly one of softest and most comfortable fabrics I’ve felt in a long time. My immediate impression is that it is a very high quality fabric which will result in the sweatsuit lasting for years. I am curious to see if it pills at all so stay tuned for an update on that after I’ve worn and washed it a few times.
As for special details, this is Liv Tall’s second take on a sweatsuit and it has been somewhat reimagined compared to the first set. The first one, which had a crew neck top, sold out rather quickly. This go round, the jacket has a nice half zipper detail which I love because I’m partial to a v-neck style. I also think the slits at the hem of the pants are a nice touch which adds some interest and allows the pant leg to drape nicely on the shoes. And let’s not forget every women’s dream for bottoms…POCKETS. And not just any ole pockets but nice deep ones!
Anything I don’t like about this tall sweatsuit set?
It’s hard to find fault with this beautiful tall sweatsuit set but I did notice a couple of things that I will keep an eye on. The first time I washed the pants, it did seem to take them quite awhile to air dry. This makes sense given how substantial the fabric is. I figure I’ll just wash them strategically when I know I won’t be needing to wear them for a bit. I’ve already traveled with this set packed in a suitcase and it was a bit wrinkly when I took it out, but the wrinkles worked themselves out after I put it on and weren’t noticeable after a little while.
Final Thoughts on the Liv Tall Sweatsuit
I wore the sweatsuit on a 5 hour roadtrip earlier this week to see how comfortable it would be for a travel day and it did not disappoint! It’s hard to find outfits that feel good on your body while you’re sitting for hours in the car (or on a plane, train etc.) and also look great when you take a break to get out of the car to grab a Vanilla Sweet Cream Nitro Cold Brew from Starbucks. Hah! This sweatsuit delivers on both comfort and visual appeal and I felt really confident in it. I have no doubt you will feel the same!
One last thing…there are also matching shorts if shorts are your thing. I haven’t worn shorts since I was 17 years old and have only tried the shorts on very quickly. My initial impression is that they are very comfortable. I may get brave enough to post some photos of myself in them so stay tuned for that. If you want to shop the shorts, click here.
