Shopping Custom Challenge Part 4 – Capiche by Victoria

I’ve been out of commission with pneumonia for 3 weeks but FINALLY felt spunky enough to play dress up today.  Good thing since I’ve been doing a little too much online shopping whilst lounging in bed and am very backed up on my blogging.
As you know, I’m smack dab in the middle of my Shopping Custom Challenge where I buy one custom made item per month.  September’s buy was the Love Your Forever polka dot top from Capiche by Victoria. I’m a sucker for polka dots (especially those of the white on navy variety) so after much deliberation about what to order from Capiche, I settled on the polka dot top (which also comes with a separate navy shell to wear underneath). I figure I can wear it to work, wear it with jeans, wear it belted, wear it tucked, wear it alone (just kidding), wear it under a blazer, wear it in the winter, wear it in the summer, wear it all the time!

Pant on the left from Zara, pants in the middle from J.Crew, Joe’s Twiggy Jeans on the right from Tall Couture.
Now, as far as custom made clothes are concerned, it’s somewhat hard to tell that this top was made specifically for my measurements because it’s flowy BUT I love it.  I think my next purchase from Capiche will be a more tailored item since Mr. L3 patiently took 64286847238 measurements for me to submit to Capiche, and I would hate for all that hard work to go to waste!  Victoria doesn’t leave you hanging as far as the measurements are concerned.  She has a VERY helpful video showing you what she is looking for with each measurement. Also, her customer service is superb AND I just LOVE the little personal touches of buying from a small company like receiving handwritten notes with my purchases.
Speaking of the lovely 6’2 Victoria, I had a chance to do a little interview with her to find out more about her business.  Check out her fun responses in my post tomorrow!

I love that polka dot top on you! And you did a great demonstration on what a versatile piece of clothing it is. It looks great in so many ways.

Glad Mr L3 was so cooperative:)

Thanks! I'm glad I happened upon that Putting Me Together blog because it has helped me reimagine my clothes! And yes…Mr. L3 has become quite the expert measurement taker since this was the second time he had to take measurements for this project. 🙂
