Stuff I’ve Learned From Twitter – Part 2 – Tall Consignment, & Tall PJs

Get excited! It’s time for another round of random stuff I’ve learned from Twitter. (In case you missed the first installment, click here.)  I had a lovely tall acquaintance ask me this week if I knew of any tall consignment stores, and I was thrilled to bits to be able to tell her I had seen something on Twitter and would get the info to her. I figured I’d share it with you too so here it is along with a coulpe of other tidbits!
1) Tall online consignment store courtesy of @tallswag (
–  Always-in-the-know-about-all-things-tall 6’6 Alicia Jay delivered again when she tweeted about No Heels Required which bills itself as the “The Place to Buy and Sell Pre-Owned Tall Women’s Clothing”.  The selection is kind of limited right now BUT if we all start posting our gently used tall clothes for sale on the site, imagine all the fun we could have! (Sorry Mom and Sis..I may start posting my hand-me-down tall clothes on this site instead of giving them to you…please don’t disown me).
2) Search for jeans & pants by inseam courtesy of Redwood Clothing – Allison B. tweeted about her great find which, as I’m sure you can surmise, allows you to search for pants and jeans across a whole bunch of brands, not only by your inseam, but also by rise and price! Since I’m into screen shots these days, below is a peak at the various search options.
3) Affordable hand sewn tall PJs courtesy of @LaceyWilson15 (Tall Girl Crafts Etsy shop) – I’m not quite sure what’s wrong with me lately but I’m kinda obsessed with PJs.I’ve bought 2 pairs this week alone. (Actually I do have an inkling as to why this is, but more on that in a later post.)  When I came across a tweet from the lovely 6’3 Lacey regarding the upcoming launch of her hand sewn tall PJs, I nearly swallowed my gum with excitement.  In my mind, there’s just something really cool about being able to buy a handmade garment and I LOVE supporting my fellow tall ladies in their business ventures.  So, the day that Lacey posted her tall PJ for sale on Etsy, I bought a pair!  Lacey was wonderful in helping me figure out the best fit and was even willing to add a little extra room to accomodate my thunder thighs.  I’m on pins and needles waiting for my PJs to arrive! The best part is, at $28, these are some of the most affordable tall PJs I’ve seen and you can get them up to 38″ long!
Well that’s a wrap for my second installment of Stuff I’ve Learned From Twitter.  Hope you enjoyed it!
